I graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a degree in Social Science and a teaching credential. Later, I earned a M.A. degree in Education and a Counseling Credential. After working in private practice for 13 years, I
worked for 6 years as a Counselor at Central Valley High School, then served as Asst. Principal for 2 years, and Principal for 3 years. In August of 2005, I became the Principal of Mountain Lakes High School. I have a wonderful wife and 2 great daughters and love to play golf, fish, read and explore the beautiful north state.
Welcome to our site. Mountain Lakes High School is a public continuation high school serving the needs of students in the Gateway Unified School District. Our school has been designated a "Model" continuation high school by the California Department of Education. This honor not only reflects the efforts of a staff dedicated to meeting the education needs of a very diverse student population, but also recognizes the significant contributions from our students, their parents/guardians, and the community. At Mountain Lakes High School we believe that, in order to become productive citizens, our students need to have a strong foundation of knowledge and skills, demonstrate personal and social responsibility, become competent problem solvers, and develop a strong sense of self-worth. The Mountain Lakes High School staff is committed to helping students acquire these skills and traits.
